Manaaki Scholarship for Graduate Study in New Zealand. The Manaaki New Zealand Scholarships, offered by the New Zealand government, aim to support international students pursuing postgraduate studies at eleven approved educational institutions in New Zealand. Specifically designated for candidates from selected countries, including six Arab nations such as Algeria, Djibouti, Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, and Tunisia, these scholarships encompass various academic levels, ranging from postgraduate certificates (6 months) to Ph.D. programs (3.5 years). Successful scholars selected in 2024 will commence their studies in Semester 1 of 2025.

The scholarship package is comprehensive, covering full tuition fees, a stipend of NZ $531 per week for basic living expenses, a NZ $3,000 establishment allowance for set-up costs in New Zealand, medical insurance, additional tutoring support (up to NZ $1,000), travel expenses to and from the home country, travel insurance, additional approved travel expenses during the scholarship, managed isolation and quarantine (MIQ) support upon return, reimbursement for COVID-19 vaccinations and pre-departure tests, and a reintegration allowance of NZ $1,000 for set-up costs upon return. Additionally, postgraduate students may receive assistance with research and thesis costs.
