- Age: Applicants must be between 18 and 25 years old as of 1 April 2025.
- Academic Qualifications: Completion of SPM (Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia) with at least 11 years of formal education. Exceptional academic performance with a minimum of 9As (A+ or A) in SPM, including specific subjects depending on the chosen course.
- Language Proficiency: Proficiency in English or Japanese with excellent results in other major subjects.
Diploma Course at a College of Technology:
- Duration: Four years, comprising a three-year Diploma course starting in April 2025 and a one-year intensive Japanese language course.
- Eligibility Criteria: Similar to undergraduate studies, with a focus on engineering disciplines.
Diploma Course at a Specialised Training College:
- Duration: Three years, beginning in April 2025, including a one-year intensive Japanese language course.
- Eligibility Criteria: Consistent with the requirements for undergraduate studies, emphasizing fields like technology, personal care, and business.
Postgraduate Studies:
- Duration: One-and-a-half to two years for postgraduate courses starting in April 2025, incorporating a six-month intensive Japanese language course.
- Eligibility Criteria: Under 35 years of age as of 1 April 2025, holding a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a commendable academic record.
