Additional Scholarship for 2024:

For students beginning their studies in September 2024, an additional scholarship opportunity is available, highlighting UT’s commitment to academic excellence.

Requirements for Two-Year Study Programs:

  • Maintain an average grade of 7 (out of 10) by the end of the third quarter of the first year
  • Complete at least 50% of European credits by the end of the third quarter of the first year

With the application deadline fast approaching on May 1, 2024, here’s everything you need to know about this prestigious scholarship opportunity:

Who Can Apply?

  • To be eligible, you must meet the following requirements:
    • Be provisionally admitted to a qualifying UT Master’s course beginning in September 2024/2025.
    • Have a student number.
    • Have not graduated from a UT (under)graduate program.
    • Meet the conditions for obtaining an entry visa in the Netherlands (if applicable).
    • Meet the general English language test requirement of Academic IELTS 6.5 (or TOEFL iBT of 90) with an additional 6.0 (TOEFL iBT 20) on the speaking subscore.
    • Not qualify for a Dutch student loan.
    • Belong to the top 5 to 10% of your class, signifying exceptional academic performance.
    • Be a non-EU/EEA student (UTS is not available to Dutch or existing UT students, and EU/EEA students cannot study at UTS).

Application Deadlines and Details:

  • Round One:
    • Application form opens: October 15, 2023, at 09:00 CET.
    • Application form closes: February 1, 2024, at 16:00 CET.
  • Round Two:
    • Application form opens: February 1, 2024, at 16:00 CET.
    • Application form closes: May 1, 2024, at 16:00 CET.

How to Apply:

  1. Apply to a Master’s program at the University of Twente.
  2. Obtain a (conditional) admission letter.
  3. Use your student number to apply for the UTS.
  4. Remember, UTS is not available to Dutch or existing UT students, and EU/EEA students cannot study at UTS.

Additional Information:

  • The UTS does not offer Master’s programs at the Faculty of Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation (ITC).
  • UTS does not provide a pre-Master’s program.
  • If you applied in round one and were denied, you will not be considered for round two.
  • You can only be awarded one UT scholarship.
